As a Network Seller, Cahoot automatically configures Package Manager Data for your SKUs shipping through our fulfillment network. This guide explains how to view this data, understand the packaging options available, and manage custom packaging requirements.
How Cahoot Configures Your Package Data
When your inventory arrives at Cahoot fulfillment locations, our team automatically configures Package Manager Data based on:
- Suggested Packaging option you selected in the Product Editor when creating products
- Product dimensions and weight from your product specifications
- Available packaging inventory at the fulfillment location
- Optimal cost efficiency to minimize dimensional weight charges
- Product protection requirements based on item fragility and type
Available Packaging Options
Cahoot fulfillment partners maintain inventory of:
- Standard Packaging: Various box sizes and poly mailers provided by Cahoot at no additional cost
- Custom/Branded Packaging: Your own packaging materials sent with inbound shipments (requires approval)
- Protective Supplies: Bubble wrap, kraft paper, and other protective materials (additional fees apply)
Signature Confirmation Settings
Network Sellers can configure signature confirmation requirements at the SKU level through Package Manager Data. This ensures all orders containing specific products automatically require signature upon delivery.

You can view (but not edit) the Package Data that Cahoot has configured for your SKUs to understand how your products are being packaged and shipped.
1Go to Products → All Products.
2Find the SKU and click any three dots in the column headers.
3Select Columns and choose My Package. You can also add Package Length, Width, and Height columns to view dimensions.
Understanding the Package Data Display
The Package Data columns will show you:
- My Package: The specific box or mailer assigned to your SKU
- Package Length/Width/Height: Dimensions of the assigned packaging
- Package Weight: Total shipping weight including packaging materials
Automatic Updates
Cahoot may update your Package Data automatically when:
- Product specifications change: Updated dimensions or weight in your product data
- Better packaging becomes available: New packaging options that improve cost efficiency
- Inventory availability changes: Current packaging runs low and alternatives are selected
- Seasonal optimizations: Adjustments during peak shipping periods
Notification Process
1System Evaluation: Cahoot's system continuously evaluates packaging efficiency.
2Change Identification: When a better packaging option is identified, changes are planned.
