Cahoot can send shipping labels and packing slips directly to your printer, skipping the browser's print dialog popup. To enable this, you'll need to install the Neodynamic Web Print Client on your computer and have Cahoot activate the feature on your account.

Important: You must install and run the Neodynamic Web Print Client before Cahoot can enable direct-to-printer printing on your account. Skipping this step will prevent the feature from working.

What You'll Need

Direct-to-printer printing requires a one-time setup on each computer that will print labels through Cahoot. Once set up, every label and packing slip you print from Cahoot will go straight to your default printer without an extra confirmation popup.

Before you begin:

  • A Windows or Mac computer that you use to print labels from Cahoot
  • Administrator access to install software on that computer
  • Your printer connected and set as the default printer
  • Chrome browser

Step 1: Install the Neodynamic Web Print Client

The Web Print Client is a small background application that lets Cahoot communicate with your local printer. You only need to install it once per computer.

1Download the installer from this link: Neodynamic Web Print Client.

2Run the installer and follow the on-screen prompts to complete the installation.

3Launch the Web Print Client. It will run quietly in the background — you should see its icon in your system tray (Windows) or menu bar (Mac).

Note: The Web Print Client needs to be running every time you print labels through Cahoot. If you restart your computer, make sure the client is launched before printing.

Step 2: Request Activation from Cahoot

Once the Web Print Client is installed and running, contact Cahoot to enable direct-to-printer printing on your account. Our team will turn on the feature for you.

1Close Cahoot completely — make sure no Cahoot browser tabs or windows are open on any computer.

2Submit a request to Cahoot Support: Submit Ticket. Let us know that you've installed the Web Print Client and are ready to enable direct-to-printer printing.

3Wait for confirmation from our team that the feature has been activated on your account before reopening Cahoot.

Step 3: Print Your First Label

After Cahoot confirms the feature is active, you can print your first label to verify everything is working.

1Open Cahoot and navigate to an order you need to ship.

2Open Order Details and click Create Label.

3The label should print directly to your default printer with no popup.

Important: Your browser must allow Cahoot to send print jobs directly. The first time you print, your browser may ask for permission — be sure to allow it. If you block this prompt, direct printing won't work and you'll need to reset the browser permission for the Cahoot site.

Troubleshooting

If labels aren't printing directly to your printer after setup, work through these checks before contacting support.

Labels still open the browser print dialog

  • Confirm the Neodynamic Web Print Client is running (check your system tray or menu bar).
  • Confirm Cahoot Support has activated the feature on your account.
  • Make sure your browser permission prompt was allowed, not blocked.
  • Try restarting your browser after launching the Web Print Client.

Nothing prints at all

  • Check that your printer is powered on, connected, and set as the default printer.
  • Print a test page from your operating system to confirm the printer is working.
  • Restart the Web Print Client and try again.
