How to Auto-Populate Weight from USB Scale into Cahoot Label Creation Using TalTech HID-ScaleWedge
This article explains how to automatically populate package weight from a USB scale into the Cahoot label creation screen using TalTech's HID-ScaleWedge software. This eliminates manual weight entry and reduces shipping errors.
Step 1: Download and Install HID-ScaleWedge Software
1Download the HID-ScaleWedge software from the TalTech website: https://www.taltech.com/hid-scalewedge/
2Run the installer and follow the on-screen prompts to complete the installation.
Step 2: Connect Your USB Scale and Launch HID-ScaleWedge
1Connect your USB scale to your Windows PC before launching the software.
2Open the HID-ScaleWedge application from your Start menu or desktop shortcut.
3The application will automatically detect connected USB scales. Select your scale from the list of available devices.
Step 3: Configure HID-ScaleWedge Settings
1Click the Settings button in the HID-ScaleWedge application.
2Configure the following settings exactly as shown:
- Check the box: "Send Weight as Keystroke When Hotkey Pressed"
- Hotkey: Set to F9
