Creating an FBA Shipment Plan in Amazon Seller Central
Properly creating a shipping plan is vital to getting your goods into FBA without any delays. To get started, follow the below steps using the new Send to Amazon view, which is a streamlined shipment creation work flow that requires fewer steps to replenish your FBA inventory:
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1. Choose Inventory to Send:
Select the products you want to ship to FBA on the Manage Inventory page and select Send/Replenish Inventory from the drop down menu.
Enter Packing Details for the product chosen by creating a template name and entering the number of units per box, box dimensions, and box weight.
Note: It's important that you know the number of cases and units per case for each SKU in the shipment. If you are unsure, reach out to Cahoot Support before proceeding.
Note: This allows you to choose the same exact packing details for the next shipment you send to Amazon, thus making the process easier. If you need to pack this product differently the next time around, simply create a new template.
Choose the Ship From address, or add a new address.
Next, choose the number of units you want to send. Once that is entered, click Ready to Send, then Confirm and continue.
Step 2. Confirm Shipping:
In the next section you will confirm your shipping information and accept charges.
Choose your ship date, shipping mode (small parcel delivery or LTL), confirm your shipping carrier and charges.
If everything looks good, click “Accept charges and confirm shipping.”
Note: If Cahoot is providing shipping labels, make sure to select "Non-Amazon Partnered Carrier" and choose UPS in the drop down. Cahoot will then upload the labels after your work order is submitted with the respective FBA Box Labels.
8. Next, your products must be prepped as per Amazon's Prep Requirements. Additional barcoding should only be needed if Amazon requires a different barcode than what is already Configured in Cahoot.
This is where you’ll find out where Amazon wants you to send your inventory. Carefully review the details of your shipment plan before you approve it. After you approve the shipment plan, very few details can be changed.
Prepare Shipment:
9. Choose a shipping service (SPD or LTL).
10. Choose how the shipment will be packed, e nter the units per box, how many boxes you are shipping, the dimensions, and the weight.
11. Lastly, print the FBA Box Labels and Shipping Labels and upload them to the Work Order in Cahoot.
