Using Barcode Scan Verification when Packing and Verifying Shipment Contents
Scan Verification technology ensures that the right items are shipped to the right customers by confirming that the barcodes on the items shipped match the items in the order. It is Step 2 of the Cahoot Fulfillment Partner Daily Workflow.
Step 1 of the Cahoot Fulfillment Partner Daily Workflow starts with Creating a Pick List for the orders that are ready for fulfillment and bringing the items (including Shipping Supplies) to the Packing Station.
Step 2 is to Pack the items using Scan Verification. And lastly,
Step 3 is to Scan the Cahoot End of Day Form, which tells Cahoot that the orders are indeed handed over to the carriers on time.

What to do if there are Scan Verification issues
Pick List Scan Verification
1. After picking all the items on a Pick List, navigate to Scan to Verify and Print.
2. Scan the Pick List barcode to start working on Orders in this Pick List / Label Batch. Then scan a product barcode to bring up the first order containing that product.
3. All the SKUs required to fulfill the order will be displayed with the quantities required to fulfill the order. The shipping label will also be displayed.
4. Scan every item and quantity for the order one product at a time. Each time you scan a product barcode, the Qty Scanned value will increment by "1" unit and the Remaining to Scan value will decrement by "1" unit. Each line will be marked with a green checkmark when it is complete. When all lines are complete (all have a green checkmark), the Mark as Verified and Print button will be activated and highlighted BLUE.
Tip: If you scan an incorrect barcode or unit quantity, you will be alerted by an error message and an audible beep.
5. If you need to start over for any reason, you can click Clear to reset a line's Qty Scanned to 0, or click Clear All to reset the Qty Scanned for all lines to 0.
Place all the units in the assigned box as indicated on the Packing Slip, put the Packing Slip in the box, tape it up securely and affix the Shipping Label so that it does not fold over any of the sides of the packaging.
IMPORTANT: Packing Slips MUST be included inside (not outside) all shipments as there are return instructions, gift messages and other things printed on them that customers need to have access to. The only exception is for products that are Ready to Ship As-Is (aka SIOC) and do not require overpacking. We do not want to advertise what's in the box, so please discard these packing slips only.
6. After the shipment is verified, the Scan Verification page will reset automatically and the next product barcode can be scanned and it's order verified.
7. Once all items in the order are scanned, click Mark as Verified and Print or scan the Click Mark Verified Barcode Shortcut to verify the order and print the shipping label.
8. After the shipment is verified and the label printed, the next product barcode can be scanned to bring up the next order in the Pick List (without any clicking or tapping necessary) so you can quickly continue fulfilling orders.
Tip: You can also restart the order verification at any time by clicking Reset or by scanning the Click Reset Barcode Shortcut.
Packing Slip Scan Verification
1. On the Print and Ship My Orders page click Print Packing Slip under the Print Button drop down to print Packing Slips in bulk for all the orders displayed on the page.
4. Click Print to send all the Packing Slips to your printer.
5. Go to the Scan to Verify and Print page and scan the Packing Slip Barcode to display that specific order on the screen.
6. Scan the items that need to ship with the order, and click Mark as Verified and Print or scan the Click Mark Verified Barcode Shortcut to verify and print the shipping label.
7. Place all the units in the precise packaging listed on the Packing Slip, add the Packing Slip to the shipment, tape it up and securely and affix the Shipping Label so that it does not fold over any of the sides of the packaging.
8. After the shipment is verified, the Scan Verification page will reset automatically and the next product or packing slip barcode can be scanned to initiate scan verification.
