Handling Damaged SKUs when Receiving Inbounds
When receiving an Inbound Shipment, you will naturally unbox and inspect the inventory as SKUs are placed in unique Bin Locations. When you encounter damaged inventory, please use the following process to ensure the inventory is properly recorded in Cahoot as damaged, and then physically separated from units in Good Condition.

Step-by-Step Guide
1. Take photos of the damaged unit(s). You will need to upload these images on the inbound page.
2. Navigate to the inbound and click the Receive Inbound button.
3. Click the Enter DMG Qty link for the damaged SKU(s) in question.
Note: For inbounds that contain separate Packaging Materials, you can perform the same steps under the packaging section if they arrive damaged.
4. Enter the Damaged Qty, Bin Location, Barcode, and Upload the photos of the damaged units taken in Step 1. Click Submit.
Note: Do NOT comingle damaged inventory with good inventory. You will receive an error message if you try entering the same bin location as the good inventory bin.
5. Enter your name in the Completed By field and click Save Changes to submit the inbound receipt.
Tip: You may store damaged units in a common Bin Location set aside for this purpose, but damaged units should not be co-mingled with Good units. Damaged units should have their own unique Bin Location separate from Good units.
