Tracking Inventory

Inventory is tracked at the unit-level, in real time, across all Cahoot Fulfillment Centers. All orders, shipments, adjustments and audit adjustments are tracked and can be searched and reviewed as needed.

Note: Cahoot does not track inventory outside of Cahoot warehouses, including Seller managed warehouses. And Cahoot does not update Inventory Qty Available to any sales channels.

Step-by-Step Guide

1. Go to Inventory > Your Inventory with Partners.

Partner Qty Available is real-time inventory available for each of the SKUs stored across Cahoot warehouses.

Partner Qty Committed is the number of units actively assigned to orders for fulfillment (i.e. orders in Match Confirmed Order Status), but not yet Shipped.

Partner Qty On Hand is the total number of units in stock, which is equal to the Partner Qty Available (units not yet committed to an order) PLUS Partner Qty Committed (units already committed to an order).

When new orders are assigned to a Cahoot Fulfillment Center, the Partner Qty Available will decrease by the number of units in the order, and the Partner Qty Committed will increase by the number of units in the order. The Partner Qty on Hand will remain the same.

Example: A new order for this SKU is assigned to a Cahoot Fulfillment Center. One (1) unit of the Partner Qty Available is simultaneously assigned (aka "committed") to this order, so the Partner Qty Available decreases by one (1) unit, while the Partner Qty Committed increases by one (1) unit. No actual inventory has left the warehouse, so the Partner Qty On Hand remains the same.

When a shipping label is created for this order, (and the order is subsequently fulfilled), the Partner Qty On Hand is decremented by the one (1) unit, as the inventory is no longer available to commit to new orders, and the Partner Qty Committed is decremented by the one (1) unit.

All inventory changes whether from Order Fulfillment or any other type of Inventory Adjustment are called Inventory Transactions. You can review all Inventory Transactions by going to Inventory > Inventory Transactions.

When searching by SKU, all Inventory Transactions containing the SKU will be displayed.

All Fulfillments and Adjustments are also tracked at the SKU-level and displayed on the History tab at the Product-level on the Products > All Products page. The History tab shows all the completed Inventory Transactions for the SKU.

Alternatively, you can find the Transaction History tab by opening the SKU details from the Order Details page.
