Connect a WooCommerce Store
To connect your WooCommerce account, generate your WooCommerce API credentials in your WordPress admin panel, then save them to a text file and upload to our secure server. Cahoot Support will let you know when the configuration is complete.
📋 Upload WooCommerce Credentials
The following information is required:
- Consumer Key
- Consumer Secret
- Store URL (for your WordPress site)
- Shipment Tracking Plugin (Yes or No — if Yes, Cahoot needs login access to install an API plugin)
Steps to Retrieve Your WooCommerce API Credentials
1Log in to your WordPress Admin Panel, navigate to WooCommerce in the left panel, and click Settings.
2Go to the Advanced tab, select REST API, and click Add Key.
3Fill out the Key Details and select Generate API Key:
- Description: Cahoot API Keys
- User: Select your username (no need to create a new one)
- Permissions: Read/Write
4Copy the Consumer Key and Consumer Secret values into a text file or Word document.
Note: Add the remainder of the required fields to the text file before uploading. Use the format below as a guide:

5Save and upload the text file to our secure server.
6Notify Cahoot Support when your upload is complete — we don't receive automatic notifications. You will receive confirmation when the configuration is complete and your Cahoot account is ready to process WooCommerce orders.
