Editing Sales Channel Order IDs
The Sales Channel Order ID field cannot be edited once an order is imported into Cahoot. To correct an incorrect Sales Channel Order ID, you must exclude the order and re-import it with the correct information.
Important: Always verify Sales Channel Order IDs before importing orders to avoid the need for exclusion and re-import.
🔄 Steps to Correct the Order ID
Follow these steps to exclude an order with an incorrect Sales Channel Order ID and re-import it with the correct information.
Exclude the Incorrect Order
1Navigate to Orders > Order Grid from the top menu.
2Locate the order with the incorrect Sales Channel Order ID.
3Click Exclude Order to remove it from fulfillment.
Note: Excluding an order prevents it from being fulfilled but keeps a record of the order in your system.
Re-import with the Correct ID
4Choose the appropriate import method based on how the order was originally created:
- Channel Integration: Trigger a re-import from your sales channel to pull the order with the correct ID
- Manual Import. Upload the order again with the correct Sales Channel Order ID
Verify Before Fulfillment
5Double-check that the new order has the correct Sales Channel Order ID.
6Verify all order details are accurate before allowing the order to proceed to fulfillment.
Tip: Review Sales Channel Order IDs during the import process to catch any discrepancies before orders enter fulfillment.
Important: Cahoot only accepts unique Marketplace Order IDs. An Order ID already imported cannot be duplicated or re-imported.
