When This Applies: For sellers sending inventory to Cahoot - If you have the "Add Packaging to Inbounds" feature enabled, you can include custom packaging and supplies with your inbound shipments to Cahoot warehouses.
When You Need This Feature
- Custom/Branded Packaging: Sending your own branded boxes or mailers
- Shipping Supplies: Including bubble wrap, inserts, or protective materials
- Special Requirements: Products needing specific packaging materials
How to Add Packaging to Your Inbound
1First Create your packaging entries.
2When creating your inbound shipment, look for the "Packaging" section below the "Items" section.
Important: If you don't see the "Add Packaging" section on your inbound page, contact Cahoot Support - this feature is only available to approved users.
3Click "Add Packaging" to search and select from your created packaging entries.
4Enter the quantity of each packaging type you're sending.
5Complete your inbound submission as normal.
Important: When your inbound is received, Cahoot will update the packaging quantities automatically and configure usage for your products as appropriate.
What Happens Next
- Receiving: Cahoot will receive and store your packaging materials
- Inventory Updates: Packaging quantities will be automatically updated
- Configuration: Cahoot will configure usage for appropriate products
- Storage Fees: Custom or Branded packaging will incur additional storage fees
