Creating Other Work Orders
Use an Other Work Order for special warehouse requests that do not fit Cahoot's standard work order types. These requests typically involve inventory handling, inspection, or custom preparation inside the warehouse.
Important: This work order should not be used for shipping inventory out of the Cahoot network. If inventory is being shipped, submit a removal work order type.
When to Use Other Work Orders
- Inspecting inventory (checking expiration dates, damages, etc.)
- Requesting special stacking requirements in the warehouse
- Inventory consolidation (combining partial pallets)
- Requesting photographs of inventory condition
- Conducting product quality audits
- Non-standard packaging modifications (adding additional protection, special packaging materials)
- Custom inventory counts or verification
- Sorting mixed inventory
- Special inventory preparation for upcoming promotions
- Returns processing
