Creating Small Parcel Shipping Labels for Inbound Shipments

This article will demonstrate how to create small parcel shipping labels for approved inbounds. Small Parcel is specifically for shipping boxes only.

  • If you are shipping pallets, your inbound will ship as LTL Freight. Please follow the instructions in our Schedule LTL Freight article instead.

  • Please review the Creating Inbound Shipments article & video before proceeding.

Create Shipping Label

1. Submit your inbound and wait for Cahoot approval.

2. Once the inbound is approved, scroll down to the packing information section and click Create Shipping Label to start creating labels for the boxes you are shipping to Cahoot.

Note: The Create Shipping Label button will NOT appear until your inbound is approved.

3. Select a service type by clicking an option in the shipping rates table and click Create Shipping Label & Next. Repeat for each box.

We recommend that you add adequate “insurance protection” to all your shipments in case they are lost or damaged in-transit.

Note: If you receive an error fetching carrier Rates, go back to the inbound page and make sure all the information (ship from address, packing information) is properly entered. Notify Cahoot Support if any updates are needed.
Example Error: Carrier: UPS - 111538 - Invalid Origin

4. Navigate back to the Shipments section of your inbound to Print each Label. You can also void & regenerate a new label, if needed.

5. Next, download the box content labels by clicking the [Download Box and Pallet Labels] button in the Packing Information section.

  • Enter the SKU, Item Name, and Quantities for each box.
  • Print and affix these labels to the outside of each box you are shipping.

6. And that's it! Put the carrier shipping labels and box content labels on the outside of each package and hand them to the carrier. You can come back to the inbound page to monitor the tracking status.
