Reconfirm Orders were Handed to Carrier
When a shipped order is missing a carrier origin scan by the next business day, Cahoot prompts you to confirm whether the package was physically picked up by the carrier. This step helps protect seller metrics and ensures Cahoot can take action on orders that may not have been collected.
When Does the Reconfirm Prompt Appear?
The Reconfirm Orders page appears when you log into Cahoot the following business day — not at the time of shipping. This means that even if your carrier typically picks up after business hours (e.g., overnight trailer pickups), you will already know by the next morning whether the pickup occurred.
Cahoot checks for carrier origin scans on UPS, FedEx, and Amazon Prime & Premium orders. If any orders from the last three business days are still missing a carrier origin scan, they will appear on the Reconfirm Orders page. Orders that the carrier has already scanned will not appear on this page.
Why Are Orders Missing a Carrier Origin Scan?
An order appearing on the Reconfirm Orders page means Cahoot has not yet received a carrier origin scan. This typically happens for one of two reasons:
- The carrier did not pick up the packages — The carrier missed the scheduled pickup and your packages were never collected. In this case, select "No" and provide details about the missed pickup.
- The carrier picked up the packages but has not scanned them yet — Some carriers may physically collect packages but delay scanning them into their system. This is common with certain carriers and pickup methods. If you know the carrier picked up your packages, select "Yes".
How to Reconfirm Orders
1Review each order listed on the Reconfirm Orders page. These are orders missing a carrier origin scan.
2 For each order, select Yes or No from the "Handed to Carrier?" dropdown.
- Yes — The carrier physically picked up or scanned the package.
- No — The carrier did not pick up the package, regardless of whether it was staged or ready for pickup.
3If you select No, fill in the Reason field with details about why the package was not picked up.
4 If the same answer applies to all listed orders, click Auto-fill the same for all packages in the top right corner to save time.
5Click Save to submit your confirmations.
After You Save
Once you click Save, the confirmed orders will no longer appear on the Reconfirm Orders page. However, if there are still unconfirmed orders missing carrier origin scans, the page will reappear two hours later when you next navigate within Cahoot.
