Creating Reboxing / Polybagging Work Orders

Reboxing / Polybagging Work Orders is a specific type of Inventory Prep (also known as Kitting) used to combine multiple items into a single packaged unit. This work order is ideal for creating product bundles, gift sets, or multi-item packages that need to ship together as one unit.

Step-by-Step Guide

1. Go to Work Orders > All Work Orders > Assigned to Partner tab.

2. Click the Add New dropdown and select Inventory Prep.

3. Create a unique Job Name, specify Type as [Inventory Prep - Reboxing/Polybagging], and select the Job Location.
The Job Location is the fulfillment center that will be performing the work.

Important: Separate Work Orders must be created for each Job Location, they cannot be combined into a single Work Order.

4. Add SKUs to your Work Order by entering the SKU or Barcode (not both) in the Items section and click Add Item, or simply leave both these fields blank and click Add Item to open the Search and Add Items window to add SKUs in bulk from your catalog.

5. Enter the Qty next to each SKU to specify how many units need to be prepped.

Note: You cannot enter a number of units that is greater than the Qty Available, which takes into account units that are already allocated to live orders or other open Work Orders. If you add a SKU by mistake, you can remove the line item using the trash icon in the Action column.

7. Enter the bundle SKU under Special Instructions with any other requirements that apply.

8. Scroll to the top of the page and click Submit Work Order if you're ready for it to be reviewed and Approved, or click Save as Draft in the Other Actions dropdown if you want to come back and submit it later.

Important: Work Orders cannot be edited after they are Approved by Cahoot so double check that all the information is correct before submitting for approval.

Lastly, use the Search Filters at the top of the Work Order page to find specific Work Orders . You will need to adjust the Date Filter if the Work Order you're looking for was created more than 3 months ago.
