Creating Work Orders - B2B Fulfillment

B2B Fulfillment Work Orders are requests to ship your inventory from a Cahoot warehouse directly to retail or wholesale customers. These orders typically involve large quantities requiring multiple parcels or freight shipping, which is why they're handled separately from standard fulfillment orders.

Note: B2B Work Orders are designed for larger shipments that require LTL or full-truckload (FTL) shipping, as well as orders that need third-party vendor labels, custom packing slips, or special documentation from vendors. For smaller orders that can be shipped via standard parcel services without special labeling or documentation requirements, we recommend importing a custom order from your marketplace or using Cahoot's manual import module for faster processing and shipment.

Your Cahoot account must be approved for B2B fulfillment services before you can create Work Orders.

Step-by-Step Guide

1. Go to Work Orders > All Work Orders > Assigned to Partner tab.

2. Click the Add New drop down and select the B2B Work Order Type.

3. Create a unique Job Name and select the Job Location. The Job Location is the Cahoot location that will be performing the work.

Important: Separate Work Orders must be created for each individual Job Location, they cannot be combined into a single Work Order.

4. Enter the Ship To (destination) address and upload any Shipping Documents, if applicable.

5. Add SKUs to your Work Order by entering the SKU or Barcode (not both) in the Items section and click Add Item, or simply leave both these fields blank and click Add Item to open the Search and Add Items window to add SKUs in bulk.

6. Enter the unit Qty next to each SKU. You cannot enter a number of units that is greater than the Qty Available, which takes into account units that are already allocated to live orders or other Work Orders.

Note: If you add a SKU by mistake, you can remove the line item using the trash icon in the Action column.

7. Select an option in the How Would You Like to Ship drop down. Add Shipment Protection if you want to add All-Risk insurance.

Note: Less-than-truckload (LTL) shipments typically weigh between 150 to 5,000 pounds while truckload (FTL) shipments commonly range from 5,000 pounds to 45,000 pounds and up.

8. Enter any Special Instructions or other requirements that apply.

9. Scroll to the top of the page and click Submit Work Order if you're ready for it to be reviewed and Approved, or click Save as Draft in the Other Actions dropdown if you want to come back and submit it later.

Important: Work Orders cannot be edited after they are Approved by Cahoot so double check that all the information is correct before submitting for approval.
