Submitting an Inventory Prep Work Order

The Inventory Prep work order type covers two different warehouse services. Which one you need — and what you have to set up before submitting — depends on the option you choose in the Type dropdown on this page.

Inventory Prep - Barcoding

Choose Barcoding to have the warehouse print and apply barcode labels to units already at a Cahoot fulfillment center — stock that arrived without a scannable barcode, labels that will not scan, or units you need relabeled with a different barcode value. Before submitting, confirm the barcode value is saved on each SKU in the Product Editor, because the warehouse prints whatever is stored there.

Creating Barcoding Work Orders

Inventory Prep - Reboxing/Polybagging

Choose Reboxing/Polybagging to have the warehouse assemble individual SKUs into a new multi-pack or bundle SKU, or break larger packs down into smaller ones. Before submitting, create the bundle SKU in Cahoot and assign it a unique barcode — the work order itself lists only the component SKUs being consumed.
