Create Direct Shipment Labels

The Direct Shipment feature enables you to generate shipping labels independently or in connection with a Sales Order. This functionality is particularly useful when customers reach out regarding returns or when you need to create a new shipment due to order issues.

Important: Your Cahoot Account must be licensed to use the Direct Shipments module. Please contact Support to request approval.

Step by Step Guide

Create Return Labels from Existing Sales Order

1. Navigate to the sales order page.

2. Click the Create Return Label button at the top of the page.

Note: The Create Return Label button will only appear once the order reaches the Shipped status.

3. The address information from the sales order will be populated on the create label page. Review the information, choose your carrier method, and click Create Shipping Label.

Direct Shipments

Create Independent Labels not connected to a sales order

1. Use the top navigation to go to Orders > All Direct Shipments

2. From the Direct Shipments page, Create Shipping Label

3. Specify the Ship From and Ship To addresses.

Tip: You can Save to Address Book addresses you commonly use

5. Add at least one Item to the order

6. Once you have at least one Item and the Ship From and Ship To addresses specified, enter the Carrier and Package information

7. Once complete, Get Rates to see the Shipping Methods

8. Confirm the Shipping information, then Create Shipping Label

9. Once finished, on the All Direct Shipments page, select the labels you want to print, then Print Shipping Label.

10. After Printing, labels will show a Shipped On timestamp.

11. Labels can also be Voided; click on a Shipment ID then Void Label
